“It´s not just about separation anymore, it’s about recognition”(European commission adviser on waste)
Photon counting distinguishes materials by type rather than density alone. Our camera range enables sorting closer to the source and improved reclamation across a wide range of materials. For example, recognising batteries in electronics and mixed waste streams, removal of ceramic from mixed glass, identification of halogenated fire retardant plastics and fabrics and non-ferrous reclamation.
As the use of Aluminium grows world wide it is increasingly important to stream the recovery of the different alloys to ensure effective use of resources. Our multispectral detectors recognise elemental composition during continuous wide area scans, allowing the separation of, for example, Zinc, Copper and Magnesium alloys.
